Last year 2013 – 2014 our site had over 1 million hits and 150K regularly returning IP addresses in 70 countries worldwide. There was no SEO in place and we did not hit the radio to promote as we did in years past. Those numbers do not always translate across the board onto other social sites, but from our analysis we can see that there is a legitimate following here. So firstly we would like to thank everyone that has been rocking with us thus far.
This year our goal is to increase our market presence through continuous brand building campaigns. We have also picked up a SEO (search engine optimization) company with some social marketing strategies. There are some new potential projects for 2015 to be announced along with the existing, so it will be an interesting year. With the new promotions we would like to get back to doing events. To me this is what hip-hop looks like in 2015.
We would also like to share our audience with other artist and brands. When you’re an independent company you can do that. We know we have a strong presence in NC especially Charlotte so if anyone would like to submit their video or product advertisement for us to help promote we would consider it. You can send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org. I say all that to say this, don’t get discouraged because you may not get a million views on YouTube or a bunch of likes on Facebook etc., that does not mean that you don’t have an audience so keep grinding. #1

BILTMORE RECORDS PROUDLY PRESENTS THE NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR HAN-AN titled MADE IT OUT THE HOOD! Produced and edited by Troy Johnson for Toast 187 Films, the track was produced by T. Acosta and Rick Cruz exclusively for BILTMORE RECORDS INC.
BILTMORE RECORDS is proud to present a new music video for HAN-AN. The record is called “MADE IT OUT THE HOOD” and the song addresses the philosophy’s of piety and justice. Piety has to do with an individuals respect for his responsibilities to gods, country, parents, and kin. It suggests an introspective, self analyzing approach to justice because that like everything else in the universe starts within each individual.

The track was produced by the artist with all live instrumentation on the original version. Intended to have a classic feel, the drum sample is from the teacher KRS1 and delivers a powerful message. https://www.facebook.com/hananhandgunz?ref=hl
HUGO DA CAPO is working on new material. He calls it ‘The Home Studio Grind’ where he is just creating as many raw songs verses and hooks as humanly possible. I got a chance to hear some of it and he is definitely ready! This track is dirty but check out the flow over the bouncy track. Shout out to the Berg also!
The Golden Era of Hip-Hop was not as golden as everyone would have you believe. In the 90’s some people were missing the Motown Era’s softer sound in Hip-Hop music. The kind of music today’s rappers get criticized for. Almost everyone was supposedly hard core and if you grew up in the hood you knew that was mathematically impossible. So somebody was FRONTING, everybody couldn’t be a gangster. I say that to say this; allot of MC’s were just lying on records. That was totally unacceptable at that time because Hip-Hop’s slogan was “keep it real”. However, today history reports that they were just talking about what they saw in their neighborhoods, so that gets a pass. Real Hip-Hop MC’s on the other hand were living the lyrics in their songs. That was the main controversy in Hip-Hop at that time. I would say real MC’s are the reason for some of society’s social and political changes, because they told their stories from an honest place. There are millions of these records online because not all of them were able to capture their dream of success. This track is a tribute to Hip-Hop paving the way.
